Invisible reader

This, I did it:
Getting rid of most of the things I didn't need
Of most of the people I didn't need
Cleaning, cleaning, cleaning
Focusing on what really meant something to me
Weighing carefully my thoughts
Getting rid of the sad passions
Of the stupid passions
Cleaning, cleaning, cleaning
Focusing on what were my needs
Weighing carefully my proper essential
Getting rid of what chained me to any type of immobility
Of all the toxic pride
Cleaning, cleaning, cleaning
Focusing on what could possibly hurt
Weighing the benefits of the limitless affections
Getting rid of the toxic humility
Of the lack of inner boundaries
Cleaning, cleaning, cleaning
Focusing on doing what I have to do
Weighing up carefully the question of whom it's done for
Cleaning, cleaning, cleaning
And in this place nicely tided up at last ready for me
Writing about cleaning

But
In the middle of this place of mine
Where so many people could read
What I'm writing about cleaning
This I didn't do it
Not waiting for the only one reader
The one secretly sitting somewhere
Silently reading me
Getting rid of the effect the only one reader should have on me
Not focusing on the only one reader's improbability
Weighing how important this seemed to be
Cleaning, cleaning, cleaning
Getting rid of the superfluous
This I didn't do it:
In the great cleaning last stage
Simply deciding that
I'll do the cleaning off of my invisible reader
